As Mountain Park members, you and your family have access to a host of lifestyle enhancing clubs, programs, and events presented by the Mountain Park staff. Find out about them and join in. View the slideshows of some of our past events.

ANNUAL MEETING - This annual meeting of the Members of the Mountain Park Home Owners Association is held in March. At the annual meeting, members vote for candidates to fill board vacancies and other resolutions proposed by the board, presentations are made as to the "state of the park," committee reports are given, questions and comments are taken from the members, and recognition is given to retiring directors.
BUNNY BRUNCH - The Bunny Brunch is an annual family event for members of Mountain Park. Members are served a delicious buffet of old fashioned pancakes, eggs, and sausage, a variety of fruits and pastries, and beverages (Mimosas are available for the adults). The Easter Bunny is the guest of honor and children enjoy having their picture taken with him. The cost is $12 for adults and those under 14 years of age are free!
EASTER EGG HUNT - Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 11 am. Join the fun at the annual Mountain Park Easter Egg Hunt in Touchstone Park. The egg hunt has been a Mountain Park tradition for more than 35 years. The hunt is for all ages with prizes, candy, games and hijinks for all. The fun begins at 11 am in Touchstone Park. Don’t be late or you’ll miss the Easter Bunny. Rain or shine, the hunt for eggs is on!
MOTHER'S DAY TEA - Sunday, May 9, 2010, at 2 pm. Honor your mother by inviting her to the Mother’s Day Tea held at the clubhouse. Enjoy teas from around the world, crumpets, and other light refreshments. There is no charge for the event.
COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE - Saturday and Sunday, May 15 and 16, 2010 from 9 am-4 pm. Once a year the Mountain Park community is turned into one huge shopping mall. Bargain shoppers will find treasures galore at the Annual Mountain Park Community Garage Sale. This event is advertised in The Oregonian and all the community newspapers. We put up a multitude of directional signs and print thousands of maps for bargain hunters to find their way to your sale. And the best part is it's FREE to participate.
GRAND RE-OPENING - Plans are being made for a grand re-opening of the clubhouse on May 1, 2010, from 4-8 pm. Stay tuned...
FOURTH OF JULY PICNIC - Sunday, July 4, 2010, at 11 am. The annual Mountain Park Family Picnic and Bicycle Parade is held in Tanglewood Park on July 4. Children decorate bicycles, tricycles, and even unicycles in its best fourth of July style. We meet on the corner of Sibelius and Tanglewood Drive at 11 am sharp. Then, we all parade to the picnic site in Tanglewood Park. Mountain Park supplys the hot dogs, chips, and beverages but you’re welcome to pack your own lunch. The rest of the day is spent playing old-fashioned games such as water balloon toss, three legged race, potato-sack race, wheel barrow race, etc. Don’t forget the blanket and lawn chairs. And for your convenience, a portable toilet is available. Tanglewood Park is located off of Tanglewood drive and just below the clubhouse, accessible by hiking the trail from the clubhouse parking lot.
ART IN MOUNTAIN PARK - Saturday, August 7, 2010, from 1-5 pm. Free and open to the public. For over nine years Art in Mountain Park has provided an avenue for local artists to show and sell their works. Watercolors, photography, fine art prints, mixed media, sculpture, garden art - a bit of everything for every taste. What better way to spend a summer evening than enjoying art, music, wine, and hors d’oeuvres with your friends and neighbors. AQUACISE LUNCHEON - Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at noon. Each year Mountain Park honors participants of our aquacise classes for their commitment to fitness by hosting a luncheon. The luncheon will be held in the Mountain Park clubhouse Hawthorn Room.
HALLOWEEN PARTY & HAUNTED HOUSE - Saturday, October 23, 2010, from 6-8 pm. Mountain Parkers of all ages are invited to the Halloween Party & Haunted House at the clubhouse. The Swamp Gypsy will be telling fortunes, casting spells and mixing potions. We dare you to be scared in the haunted house. And if our Halloween movie doesn’t gross you, then try munching on blood and guts chili with fingertips, spider’s eggs, goats eyes, and ghoulish treats. Prizes are given for the best costumes. There are no fees for this event, just wear your scariest costume and have fun!
HOLIDAY BAZAAR - Saturday, November 13, 2010, from 9 am-4 pm. The Holiday Bazaar is an annual event held in the Hawthorn Room. More than 40 vendors (many of them Mountain Park residents) will be participating selling everything from art, crafts, holiday decorations, and jewelry - all at reasonable prices. Shopping at the bazaar is the perfect way to find unique gifts, and at the same time, support local businesses. Children can be busy doing arts and crafts while moms and dads shop.
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE - Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 11 am. The Annual Christmas Open House is a time for Mountain Park families to celebrate the holidays. Be entertained while you sip hot spiced cider by the fireplace with your neighbors. There are crafts for the children and light refreshments for all. And, a very jolly fella dressed in a bright red suit will be the special guest so you may want to bring your camera. The Annual Christmas Open House has been a Mountain Park tradition for over 30 years. Fun for all ages!
COCKTAILS WITH SANTA - Friday, December 17, 2010. This year we thought it would be fun to have an evening cocktail party with Santa - just for the grownups. Stay tuned for details!
